web 2.0

I can see where web 2.0 can be a great enhancement to our students.  And us, once we learn all of it and the best ways to use it.  More and more things are going through the web.  Just look at our own college classes.  Will there be a day where there is only a small office for a college campus?  Where all classes are done online?  Maybe.
For me web 2.0 is a learning experience.  I am learning something new every day about the internet and it's capabilities.  .  As I did not grow up with computers, I find it fun and confussing at the same time.  Just a couple of weeks ago the school system was talking about getting IPAD's.  I didn't even know what they were.  Shows how far behind I am.  When I got home I asked my daughter and she started telling me all about them and what they could do.  Needless to say, she wants one.  Big surprise there.
Hopefully this class will help me get caught up.

Thing # 6 Remember the Milk!

This one is definatly for me.  Between working full time as a teacher, I also have to attend the County Administrators Academy once a month, the state Principals Academy for 2 days in the fall and 2 days in the spring, along with owning 2 businesses.  Oh yeah, not to mention feeding the cows, cutting hay and taking care of fencing and everything that goes along with the farm.    And at school I have IEP meetings and disciplinary hearings.  It's alot to try to remember.
Remember the milk, http://www.rememberthemilk.com/ , lets me do just that.  It sends me messages to include instant messages, gives me maps of locations and lets me share reminders with others.  This is great for M-Team meetings.  With taking college classes along with everything else I have going in I need all the reminders I can get.
